Im going to pre order today in gamestop,apparently the collectors edition has an open beta key which from Thursday clients in Europe can download.
Theres also meant to be an early access to full game key included,general release is sept 18th i think after which you add the retail key in your account management.
It looks like it will be rather good.

I'm interested in it myself. Will have to find out if they are doing regional or global servers though.

Europe will be split into French, Spanish, German, Russian and then everyone else is English.

when the ali raid org we sit about looking at them in this game we will all be fighting like mad men to save the city even making our way back to the main city to help defend it lol

Guys i got the pre order box today in gamestop for 15 euros,it gives me 3 codes.
One for open beta ,of which download links are expected to be published today.
Another code for early access to the full retail.
Then when the game is released you pay for full game and get its code and 30 days free as per usual with mmos.
Finally a third code for spoecial rewards ingame and a special quest line.
Release date is the 18th of Sept so its not bad if you want to play the game now.

so think theres going to be enough people getting this to start up a guild? wow has been boring the last month or so tbh. and even with alt's its the same ramps/bot an kara well be playing in again, if enough people are getting it ill join in for the lolz

The issue with Conan was that it sold itself as a PvP game, which it wasn't at all. WAR is since almost everything is centered around the RvR.

i heard on one of them videos that the sides can be forced to make the population even out
so just want to no wat people are thinking of rolling
for me a
orc tank or the other tank but ill ave a good wee mess about 2mo when i hopefully play the beta.
my gf was watching the intro movie and was like awh thats cool its like lord of the rings so she started a toon on wow and got to level 5 thats when i had 2 step in dragg her off the pc. :|

Is there a hybrid class like a druid in the game? Don't want to go and lvl a load of toons all over again if I can find a good enough at everything one :)

Why can?t I patch?
The game patcher and login servers are not yet online. They will be switched on closer to the Open Beta.
The news says the client is 12GB but I have only downloaded 9.4GB. Am I missing something?
No you?re not. The downloader itself is downloading compressed files which will be a little smaller and there will be additional downloading available during Open Beta. These are largely localised Voice Over files which will make up the remaining 3GB or so.
I would like to use my own torrent program, is there a torrent link available?
Yes of course, just use this link with your preferred torrent client.
I can?t enter my codes anywhere!
The page on the website where you can enter your codes is not yet online but will appear next week before the open beta begins. Keep checking the news page for news about this.
Will I be able to use this client for release?
Yes, you will be able to use the same client for release, it will just patch you up to the live version. No need to uninstall and reinstall from the box DVDs.

the European website sucks they haven't even set it up to register your beta keys or nothing yet and its 6days to go till the open beta. :|

We are shutting down the authentication system on the war-europe website to prepare the way for the new account systems that will be coming soon. During this time, you will not be able to log into www.war-europe.com. This will of course prevent you from using any of the registered services such as the fan art, fantales or fansite submission forms.
The beta forums will not be affected by this situation. Please be sure to keep an eye on the news for further information.

Start work with GOA on Tuesday so hopefully I'll be playing the game then. Also hopeful they'll give me the beta to bring home.

A minor patch will be available before the servers are brought online early afternoon tomorrow. The suspense will soon be over; WAR is dawning and we all have a very exciting time ahead of us.

he moment we've all been waiting for is here ? the European WAR Open Beta servers are online! All previous beta testers will have immediate access while new testers will be joining WAR in waves.
All Open Beta servers are currently running the Core rule set ? there are no Open RvR servers in the Open Beta. English players will be able to choose from the following servers:
Karag Dron
Karag Orrud
Nehekhara
Karak-Hirn
Karak-Norn
Alarille
Burlok
Ellyrioon.
GOA and Mythic are very excited to bring Europe the WAR Open Beta. WAAAAGH!!

The latest news is they are making a new reg and authenticating page and will be online at 3pm.
Please god i get my account made and can join the server.

This morning we explained to you that a new system would be coming for open beta key validation. We are pleased to announce that this is now online. For the moment this system is open to people who either already have a beta centre account on war-europe or those who created an account yesterday and have received a confirmation email. Those of you who have not yet had the chance to create an account must wait a little longer and to you we apologise for the delay.
To use the new system, if you are one of those who created your account yesterday, then first you must validate your account by following the link on the confirmation email if you have not already done so. Once you have done that, or if you already have an account on the war-europe site, then you should go to our new key validation page which you will find here. Once there you will put your account details in including your key and submit it. This will be checked via an asynchronous process and an email will be sent after a short time to either confirm your registration or to inform you of any errors.

gfx are pretty thought nothing out of this world
still trying to understand the rvr craic ive been sitting waiting to join for ages and got in once and we got owned very very fast. so am waiting again but still havent figured what the hell to do to enter.
few nice things ive noticed:
in game quest helper shows the area that you should be in quest wise.
if you need quest items from a mob it will auto pick the items and save them in the quest items slots in ur bag. so no more forgetting the items :D
few bugs with the npc not taking dammage but nothing to bad just run away from them etc.
public quests are repeatable and are on a timer. and their is 3 in the area that i am in atm so i think they will be a very big part of this game.
u have like rep in a town that offers u new gear and u do the public quests and get new gear very easy tbh so afar am only level 6 atm

Loving it so far,graphics are better than i expected when turned to max.
Public quests are fantastic,its like a mini instance that takes 10 mins and can be repeated over and over for loot,xp and influence rewards.
Loads of solo quests also ofcourse.
Havent tried RvR yet.
Once we got over the initial crap registering etc the servers seem very stable,ive found no bugs yet.

awh am in a rvr area now just like bfv with flags that you have to cap to take over the area no1 attacking.t as their is a low population on the server and is mostly all destruction.
mabey we should move over to a high populated server to try and have a better chance at rvr fights??

Im very confident in Mythics work,a lot of folk reckon Mythic are the gods of MMOs and that their most famous one DAOC to this day is the best MMO on the market.
These guys are making MMOs before blizzrd were and they know what they are doing.
WAR is on development since before wow was releasd i think.
Im sure this will be a massive hit.

tbh you can't really judge an MMO from playing the beta for a week or so. It comes down to really if you like wow's PVE based gameplay, if yes then WAR probably isn't for you. If you prefer PvP then you'll probably enjoy WAR.

Nah not fair to judge a game unless you atleast got half way up the level ladder even at that its not a fair assessment.
I mean wow only starts when you hit 70.
I still love wows pve,dungeons and raids etc but Warhammer has plenty of pve dungeons and raids also.
Everyone seems to think its a pvp based game,yes it has great pvp all the way through the levels with world rvr and scenarios.
This reputation for rvr [pvp to wow players] comes from DAOC which has been easily the best pvp mmo.
Therefore everyone is under the illusion Warhammer is rvr only,simply not true.
I was looking forward to wolk for wow but only for its dungeons and raids,the thought of levelling up again in wow is mind numbing.
Maybe ill get wolk at some stage who knows but for now WAR is very much got me hooked.

Ah to me, the important bit is the MMO aspect of these games. The leveling is fun when you have a load of thers doing it with you at the same time. Doesn't matter what game it is then...

lvl'ing in this game is alot better than wow imo. With the regular quests, public quests, scenarios rvr and tome unlocks there's loads of diversity in how you lvl. They really removed the grind that wow is.
