Dunno if you saw this but apparently its another tool we can look forward to.
WTF you ask?
A translation that planetbattlefield put up:
Digital Illusions CE has already before some time in some interviews mentions with that Battlefield 2 an analysis Tool to will be published. The evaluations of this analysis tools, called BF2 Fragalyzer, are considerably responsible to the balancing for Battlefield 2. The Tool is meant not only for balacing, but generally also a tactics tool with which the Kill Events can be visualized. In the reason one can take oneself apart complete clan matches and evaluate these step for step.
We placed now first pictures of this to analysis Tools for you ready and those to give us already a small overview of it, which we can employ thereby. Additionally we could upload 12 Overview of pictures of all contained maps for you...

/me looks confused!
I'm sure we'll figure it out...
jebus anything this game isnt gonna have :S
Hopefully it'll come with a can of Redbull too

Enabling a new kind of fun, 'the blame game'.
:)
-
I'll never get any blame anyway. :)
-
Information is power :D
I'm dying for this game. The ability to watch recorded matches alone could make a massive difference in improving our teamplay.
-
After-match analysis might show us the simple things that went wrong, where bad luck or bad movement paths hurt us or even further expose cheaters.
I can still see many many clans or tournaments turning off all this shit.
They won't even allow spectators.
-
Spectating means the possibility of cheating though, and I think every clan will want to be able analyse their play after the match.
-
This is a server side tool. Basically the files will be saved on the server and available to the admin to do with as he sees fit. If we where to play a clan and get an ass whipping then we would be able to play it back and see how they did it.
ALternatively it may be a CB rule that you have to have it off, cant see it though.

So if we've a great tactic, will that be exposed to the other team when they look at this or BfTV or whatever?
-
iam sure this will be turned off as clan will not want there tatics stolen
mabey friendlys this can be used
-
I was actually going to post about that.. As interesting as it is, can you view the opposite team? thus watching their tactics.
-
It poses some good questions all right. If you are on your home server then you will be able to do what ever you want tactics wise as the other team will not have access to the files.

sucks

As I understand it a link to the file appears in-game at the end of a round if the feature is turned on, so the files will either be available to both teams or neither team.
If reports are accurate the file will allow you to replay the game and watch it from any angle you like, allowing you to cheack out the opposing team's tactics. This goes both ways though, and I think the advantages of being able to go over your own team's performance and being able to make the files available to members of the clan who didn't play in that match will outweigh the disadvantage of giving away tactics. It just means clans won't be able to play a map the same way every time. This isn't far off how things currently work anyway; when you use a plan and it works well the opposing clan will usually pick up on what you did.
-
Clans are cagey about this kind of thing.
Fearing something new and intrusive, I bet it doesn't get used on anything but EAUK.
What it does make really interesting is matches like our North v South.
Its a pity you can't record the new VOIP, putting communications to a timelined playback would give you a totally complete picture.
And what's the feeling in the clan about the upcoming VOIP feature.
Think it'll replace TS or what?
-
if its anything like halflife2 ..id rather have Ts..playing on a public server with some dude Olof talking to you in swedish...our survey says Urr Urr !!
-
or a kid who decided to sing to us over it for five minutes... That was until I discovered the mute button...
