Hi guys

Can i ask how you have managed to get a ranked server up and running? {eVo} would like to run our own ranked server so any advice would be very welcome.

lo Ceribrus,

I signed some complex documents in triplicate with EA to get ranked server software. If you guys wanna get a ranked server with bf2cc support, get a box from http://www.rack365.ie/ that fits minimum specs and I can stick the ranked server on there for ye. I think multiplay.co.uk are doing ranked servers too, have a look at them also.

Alternatively, you can contact EA Games as set yourselves up as partners to host your own ranked servers.

Sorry i must have been a tad sleepy last night, 28 hours without sleep the previous day can do that to you.

When you say you can put us a ranked server on our server, how does that work? We do have our new server up and running and are desperate to make it a ranked server. Would EA be happy with you magically making our server a ranked server? Or is it all ok what with you signing docs ect.

If you could get back to me asap i would really appriciate it.

By purchasing a rack365.ie server, I can install a BF2 ranked server onto it and limit remote desktop connectivity.

Once the bf2cc daemon tool is out, that's the access you will have to your server.

I can't install the ranked server software on a machine that's not under my control or not locked down.

Hey guys. {TCS}SoM here. Dragonslayer should recognize me from last night on our Teamspeak. BTW Last night was... strange.

Anyways, we love the server, and we were also wondering just how you got the ball rolling with these papers and such. We are clueless. We thought putting together a 4 page packet with the history of TCS, information about all aspects of the clan, and other information, HAND DELIVERED to the head of networking at EAHQ would be a good start. So far, not even a phonecall.

Obviously, we need to try another method. If TiG could help us on our venture, TCS would be highly appreciative. We have no idea how to do this. We have great server hardware, and we do not wish to give it up just for ranking. We also dont want to pay the rediculous prices for ranking. Sounds as if you have dont exactly what we are trying to do, so any help on this venture would be awesome.

Perhaps TiG and TCS could work together on many other things. Im sure TCS members would enjoy it, we love your server. 20 of our American members can be on at one time, and we are almost all americans, all 40 of us, and the server wont lag one bit. Its our favorite server, and we would very much like to set up our server in a similiar fashion.

Well, thank you for reading my rediculously long rant. Our website is tomclancygameservers.com, and our leader is Equatis. I will be gone for the next 10 days, so contacting him would be much appreciated. Thanks to all TiG members and admins for the great server. With your help, perhaps our server can be like yours.
