Meh. Some companies make money, some companies need money. EA needs money to pay its coders to make patchs, so it sells the patchs. No doubt that it'll be like now, where you can pick-up new weapons, but just can't get them through upgrades.

Which leads me to ask: will you be able to operate the new viechles, if your running Vanilla BF2?
