Thinking of getting this, but it seems no-one has been able to pay for it as of yet, as the site is getting too much traffic :P

What are alpha light invites?

We wont have them to give out for another 2 weeks I think Cully.
Anyone who bought the alpha can give out 3 invites to the alpha light,
You'll get the single player showcase missions with a hand full of weapons
and some choppers and armoured cars for free, but NO multiplayer content.

There was a few of us on lastnight playing some team death match and even with it
being an "alpha" and the few bugs we came across both visuals, sound and game play
was fantastic, well above BF3 imo. And very unforgiving combat.

Worth the purchase over Arma II Boru?  or wait longer, you think?

Tony, best game I have played in as seriously long time.  Theres just no running and gunning.  Its slow tactical play with seriously good hit reg from what I can see, but that was me hosting the server and playing at same time.

Visually its pretty, and the colours are normal, no blue tint etc.  For an alpha its pretty damn good.  Get it down soldier!!!

Get it Luc, even with the final release of the game not out till Q3 there after giving full MOD support with it
right now, that means things like wasteland and the likes. And another thing you should take note of

https://store.bistudio.com/arma3-alpha

I know your paying for a game now thats not finished till Q3. But seriously 25euro for a full game thats
going to have as much content on its own as BF3 or them call of duty games have for the 50 or 60 you
payed for them. And then there's the mods.... look at the bang for bucks were after getting out of arma 2
from Dayz to wasteland on arma2. Get it man!

What's the best way of moving individual games syco?  Manually, Steamtool (http://www.stefanjones.ca/steam/) or something else?

Pretty cool if that's the case. I'll pick it up eventually but probably not for another month or so.

I remember trying to get people to play ArmA II ages ago and everyone laughed cause it was slow paced and boring!

Steamtool is meant to be great (never used it myself) if you're swapping games between your drives often, but I find if I'm moving something, I just point the loader (Steam, Origin, etc) to the new location, exit the loader, move the game to the new location, start the loader, loader will usually start "downloading" the game, see it's there, and suddenly go from 3% to 100%.

Chokepoint in the middle of the landmass there...

1. Go to 'Outpost'.
2. Setup a toll bridge.
3. Profit.

That sounds awesome. A wall of baseparts, and a mine filled road in the middle :P

Just had a look at armaholic there, mad number off addons/mission for arma 3 up already.
Load of MP mission might be worth looking into a few for some night in the future. Sure to
be a few good ones in there  :?:

Lads i havent taken the plunge with arma 3 alpha yet [well i did play a torrent of the very first version :P] , is it worth picking up for wasteland? or other MP modes, TDM or some domination maybe? im not into the coop missions at all.
