Hmmm not sure.   Thinking seems to be that its only decent in co-op.  Maybe if 3 others where getting it I would.

Might be up for the 4 pack if someone will organise it.  Works out cheaper each.

Its even cheaper on the asda website. its only ?24.91/?27.24 which makes it cheaper than the steam 4 pack deal. Asda has free and quick delivery too. here's the link http://www.asda-entertainment.co.uk/games/platforms/pc/borderlands/10048149.html . Seems an alright game. Difference style of graphics than we've seen in many games before. L4D 2 is out soon though.

Got a cough copy of it and need 4 speed shift, not bad. Why not fire up the hamachi and play it via lan?

Seriously worth a go lads.  Played up to level 7 there with Lucutus.  Its not far off being a WoW/FPS lovechild, however there are not huge player numbers, just up to 4 co-op.  If you have played wow and also like FPS then give it a go.

Re Constant Speech :

My Documents > My Games > Borderlands > WillowGame > Config > WillowEngine.ini

bHasVoiceEnabled=True

Change True to false.

It'll turn off the voice chat completely.

Just been reading about this and really does sound like the bastard child of Crysis and WoW. Damn I'm tempted...

Alos, are ye all playing on steam. Or hamachi...

In game up to 4 player co-op.  The game uses gamespy, however there is a lan option as well should the hamachi fall back be needed.

Nah its WoW for FPS players.  Whoever really cracks the MMOFPS genre will clean up and this game is a step in the right direction.

You guys still alive?  What about some drunken gaming some night, or better still a lan?  Few of us will be on tonight hopefully to play some Borderlands.  The simple way to sort the ports is to play a public game first and then you can play private.

:( test another router, just in case...before you call up BT and give them an earbashing.

Or, forget about broadband and play 'charades' and 'snakes and ladders' with the kids.

:)

3 routers checked, 4 filters checked, all before I even made a call.  4 calls later before someone in India finally decides to listen to what I am saying.  I had 3 different reasons :

1st one was that it was all fine and to check everything again
2nd one was that there was a fault in my area it would be fixed in 4 hrs
3rd one was that it was all ok again so I need to recheck
4th one, where I finally flipped at the advisor, they noticed a fault with the dsl in the exchange, hence the no dsl light.

Effing shambles of a service, Neilx what are you going to do about it......thank god I'm moving in the next few weeks and will be able to use the opportunity to change to a different provider.

Do you have this in hand Dermot or do you need me to get someone to have a look?
Also, I agree with you.
