What is the SurvivorGameZ?
The SurvivorGameZ is a competitive survival event that takes place in the DayZ universe. Teams of two face off against each other until only one team is left standing (or crawling). The whole event is streamed on Twitch from multiple perspectives (2 spectating/casting channels + individual competitors).

How many players take part in the Survivor GameZ?
15 teams of 2 duke it out in each qualifier. The winning team of each qualifying event will become the 16th team in the following main event for a total of 32 players in each main event.

When is the next event?
The Survivor GameZ will be making a return on the 8th of February 2015 at 1PM PST with Survivor GameZ V (main event).

The next qualifier will be held in March before the next main event in April, continuing in this fashion throughout the year (6 main events & 5 qualifiers in 2015).

Who is on the roster for Survivor GameZ V?
Participants in main events will be invited by the event organisers, this is an ongoing process, the roster for SGZ V is not yet finalised. People who are very active in the DayZ community on Twitch/YouTube will be those most likely to be noticed by the SGZ team. If you don?t make the initial cut for a main event, don?t flip out, you can still apply for the qualifiers.

Where can I watch Survivor GameZ events?
The Survivor GameZ has two main channels on Twitch: SurvivorGameZ & SurvivorGameZ2. This is where the spectating/casting will be happening. At least one player from each team will also be streaming on their own channel.

I recommend using a combination of KBMOD Multistream & Chatty to keep up with all the action.

How/Where do I apply to take part in the Qualifiers?
Details will be provided closer to the next qualifying event (some time in March). Keep an eye on https://twitter.com/survivor_gamez  &  http://www.survivor-gamez.com.

Will these events take place on the mod or standalone?
Official Survivor GameZ events will be taking place on the DayZ standalone from here on out.

Will it be in First-Person or Third-Person?
Competitors will be locked in first-person perspective for all of these events. Casters/commentators will have a free-roam camera to catch the action.

What happens if someone dies to a bug?
Historically, contestants who died to bugs have been eliminated from the competition as they would be if they had died in any other way. This was always laid out in the rules all players were provided prior to events.

All contestants are, or should be, aware that DayZ is still in development and these things may happen.

What are the rules of the event?
Contestants will be given all the information they need in order to take part in the event prior to the scheduled date, along with a set of rules.

Some preliminary rules (based on past events):
-At least one player from each team must be streaming
-Players are not to be viewing other windows eg. their chat during these events
-If you die to a bug, tough luck
-Do NOT share the server info

Will there be scripted events (eg. A VIP mission/convoy ambush) like in the mod?
This is something we may see but no specifics will be given prior.

Will there be prizes?
Prizes will be up for grabs for each main event, details of which will be announced closer to the scheduled date.

What will the casters be using to spectate?
The SGZ team will be using a camera tool that was built in-house at Bohemia specifically for this event. Basic functionality by SGZ V should include:
-Camera snap to player from player list
-Player names over heads
-Player stats/vitals eg. Hunger/Thirst/Blood
-Voice comms picked up over direct
