rite so continuing the discussion from the shoutbox here

was speaking to karma about that earlier boru and it seems the guy with machine gun is the tank as he distracts mobs while the dps nuke them i didn't see a healer though i would imagine its such a low level that you probably don't need one

its a case of the 4 classes before picking there specialization option?  like a wow paly or warrior or druid before level 10 :)

The healing won't be a specialized healing class like WoW. Seems it'll be either a sub-class or something, or a warrior class priest healer who heals when doing malee. I think the healer class will have to be in the fight with the rest of the warrior class people, as opposed to far away.

Read this also for info: http://torwars.com/2011/03/08/healing-in-swtor-what-we-know-so-far-2/

yea they done the same with warhammer it seems to work pretty well . warrior priests are a bitch tho. least it made healers not just stand in one place and use healbot :)

was thinking, if its going to be 8 and 16 man raids, then a 20member guild roster would be ideal right?
Not saying 20members is what we should cap the guild at but its a good roster to aim for maby?
Should be enough for a good mix of classes also.

Oh and also would someone like to remove the WoW section in froum's with a SWTOR one and we can be lazy
and copy and paste that Guild Charter over to SWTOR?

Post by: [GiT] Karma on August 08, 2011, 03:09:02 PM
Yea, think 20 would be a good number, taking into account schedules etc.

Have posted on the boards.ie saying we are after a couple of bodies so hopefully we get a couple. Looks like 11 signed up on teh guidroster on that site, is there anyone else not accounted for yet?

Think Grim has mentioned to Ranger, is there anyone else we can collar?

Yeah same. Not sure if I'll use it though. Not got the time nor the interest atm.
If I can give key etc away, anyway want it?
Title: Re: Star Wars The Old Republic
Post by: [GiT]ARKANGEL on November 12, 2011, 01:29:58 PM
never give your key away kel..its conneced to your IP..if its found thats someone else is using it they will ban your account and your access to the game.
Title: Re: Star Wars The Old Republic
Post by: [GIT]Fairy on November 12, 2011, 05:02:18 PM
IP's are rarely static for residental BB users, so I dont think that would be the case ARK.  Keep it anyways Paul.
Title: Re: Star Wars The Old Republic
Post by: [GiT]Kel on November 12, 2011, 06:01:11 PM
Mine is static, for cough *satellite* reasons. Thanks for heads up though.
Think its mainly a server strain test so imagine a key would be pretty easy to get anyway.

Whats the interest in this lads, early acces starts next Tuesday with rolling access according to when people preordered.
Will we actually get a guild up and running and ready to raid eventually?
What server are people planning to roll on etc?
Title: Re: Star Wars The Old Republic
Post by: [TiG]Grim on December 08, 2011, 12:46:28 AM
plenty of interest Cully not sure how many have it preorderd (my code was redeemed on the 9th of august so not sure when ill get my early access)  hoping to raid depending on what endgame content is like (and how we perform as a guild), re server it will be a pve server but no idea which one yet

Title: Re: Star Wars The Old Republic
Post by: [TiG]ABE on December 21, 2011, 09:23:42 AM
was thinking of it derm, just for the questing since the quests are told in a video style and not text , kinda makes it more interesting i think, tho ill be watching it on justintv for a while to see if i really want to go back to an mmo,

tho raiding and all that doesnt interest me much as  its takes 2 long and 2 much commitment e.g raid nights etc

mite go for the casual few hours during the week/weeknd questing & pvp

tho depends really

is everyone enjoying it, from what i seen last nite on justintv it looks very much like wow
Title: Re: Star Wars The Old Republic
Post by: Cully on December 21, 2011, 10:54:40 AM
Its wow but in star wars universe which means lots of win , Im loving it so far.
Graphically its a lot better than wow, the quests are better, the instance [flashpoints] are better, pvp is actually very good, theres a lenghty story for every class.
If endgame has the cotent ill be subbed for a long time.
Since your not interested in raiding Abe endgame doesnt matter to you.
Personally i wouldnt bother with any mmo unless i was going to end up raiding, to me thats the point of an mmo after you level up.
There is ofcourse pvp but you would be better off rolling on a pvp server for that,im hearing good things about world pvp.

Post by: [TiG]JimeatsLans on December 22, 2011, 02:54:43 PM
If you don't want to raid ABE then just take all of Cully's points and add that there's unique storylines for each class, so essentially it's 8 single player games in one.

So if you enjoy the quest system, the dialogue choice, character development etc then there's tons of content for you.
