Title: VPN Software
Post by: [GIT]Fairy on December 07, 2008, 08:15:54 AM
After some messing around last night, with not great results I've found an app called Leaf.  You can read up on it @ http://www.leafnetworks.net/products.html (http://www.leafnetworks.net/products.html) .  Might be worth a lookie see.

ALso noticed that you can have alias in Hamachi, ie you can alias an ip in a diff range to one the same as the server clients.

Only the hosting player needs to do it, right click on the others in the network and then give them an alias.

That is a new one to me. Must give it an install. Also, are people buying L4D or just picking it up from unnamed sources? :)

Cough sources!  Hamachi worked fairly well last night, though Luc found it somewhat laggy.  Ideally on Friday Night we might be able to get 4 players on.  That way if you add in the fact that there is no more computer AI to help you out, and the randomness of getting 4 human players on it should be utter mayhem.

Also any CSS, TF2 etc map will work, seemingly the game will automatically spawn in zombies and kits etc.
