Title: So anyone up for a Lan Party?
Post by: [GIT]Fairy on January 23, 2009, 03:55:43 PM
Well really what the title says...  I'm up for hosting another lan, regardless of numbers, and am open for dates.  Ideally same as other times, we start on Friday and finish on Sunday.  We have a few decent gaming laptops here so if someone has to bus it down all they have to bring is Keyboard and Mouse etc.

Any thoughts?

If someone can bring and my machine up, sure.

If anyone has a full license, they can be ride shotgun, and I'll drive up myself :D in about a months time.

/me rubs hands together gleely.  Someone pick a date.  I'll organise everything else, the usual Fairylan breakfasts and food will be laid on.  I'll book upstairs in Franks Bar for the Friday night meet up.

Also i'd need to borrow one of the said gaming laptops as I wouldn't drive up that far so would be getting some form of public transport. I might take u up on yur offer syco as i have a full liscence(hopefully thats a death wish :P)

Just noticed u said fri-monday, there aren't any bank holidays for awhile are there?

I start at a new section within the current job on Monday the 2nd, so until then, I won't know what's the deal with booking holidays, but give me a date, and I'll see can I get it booked after then.

February 6/7/8 is the only real bad date for me. Everything else is good.

Dermot, best thing to do is you pick a date for the Lan and see who can/will go etc, could be a case that I may not be able to make the date you set and same with others for other dates so set a date, post it, and see what the common "that date will suit me fine" is and run with that one.
