Drakai? *gasp*

Nothings really attractive about a MidLAN after the last one tbh, even if they do provide two chairs each and hoover up the sleeping area a bit.

It would be nice to have a team to enter into those comps...

Will give this a miss, maybe I'll have a stable rig for the next one.

Didn't really like the setup the last time to be honest. THey just don't run a professional LAN in my mind. Will be giving them a miss.

Some elements were professional enough, their network admin knew how to set a DHCP reservation for a static ip for our server based on MAC address, kudos to him!

Just the comp announcers were inaudible and some organisers let it down by not properly addressing complaints on the day.

i'll be out of the country then too, though seating/desk setup was pretty horrific so i don't think i'd be in a rush to attend anyhoo

(dhcp reservation for static ip on linux for a mac addy is trivial...)

Contacted them, and got this back:

"
Its the same setup, but this time we are going to improve it. Though unfortunatly the height is fixed, but we will more than likely leave 2 chairs stacked at each seat. Do you think that would be a help?
"

I'll be going regardless, but it'd be nice to have a few of the clan there.

Though unfortunatly the hight is fixed ???

WTF does that mean  :?:

The problem for me at the last one wasnt really the height, the whole table set up is wrong, the hight was slight problem, nowhere to drop cables, having your mouse cable loop from under the table and up the front is laughable..but the main problem I had was the thought that they can cram 15 plus players into a space that should at the most take eight. Two per table is the max ,don't mind what you see on Dreamhack.

Was it three tables per row or 4 ? ,if it was three even eight was to many.

Hmmm will I be going,I doubt I will be going as an attendee the only LAN I really want to go to these days is the iseries, and of course if we ever get one going again at some stage  :?:
