does anyone use a desktop mic for BF2? i'm thinking of buying a usb mic for TS i'm hoping this will be a usefull workaround for my soundcard issues. Now the thing is it has a on/off switch on the base of the mic, i'm wondering can I set it to always on and then assign a mute on/off key for ts on my keyboard, thanks in advance..

Calibre, desk top mics work but are not the best tbh. Any decent set of headphones with mic are all you need. You also assign a key on your keyboard to talk, this way we dont hear cornation street in the back ground etc.

Listen Calibre you twat...
Get yourself a Plantronics DSP 500 headset. They are USB and have their own DSP decoder. So they dont need a sound card. ?50 and your sorted.
Now quit yer yapping and get on TS there ya filthy Tyrone animal!! 8)

USB headsets are the way forward, I use logitech and even the cheapest ones have superb sound quality.
