Title: Noisy computer
Post by: PJ= on October 14, 2005, 02:18:49 PM
For a while now my computer has been making a lot of noise, sounds like a tumble drier. I have a new harddrive now, and my floppy drive is out so it's neither of them. The only way I get it to stop sometimes is by hitting the case on the side so I think that rules out the main fan aswell

Anyone know what else it could be and how to stop it ?

It's probably a worn fan PJ.  Take the cover off the PC and have a listen to figure out which one it is.
