not the same amount of pins first of all what mobo you got?
-
My god ABE, one set is DDR 2 and the other is DDR. :odlums:
Whats your mobo young padawan?
PS: If you like buying ranom memory types,I might have a 512k Amiga memory kit somewhere. :?:
-
Abe,
Take the guesswork out for you. Goto crucial.co.uk, select yuor motherboard/machine from the list and it will give you a list of compatible ram.
The difference between slow ram and fast ram (at least with DDR2 on intel boxen) is really so little that you might as well get the cheapest you can find.
With that in mind, everything on the crucial site will do exactly what you want well.
-
Ram will not help you, I'll still pwn you on karkand.

my pc takes ddr2 and ddr so screw u all maken me out to be sum sort of noobish newry Nyuck!
as for the old timer! how dare u talk such blasphemy of the messiah of tig! i should beat u and treat u shamefully!

Firstly, some mobo's don't take all different types. Some only take all DDR, or all DDR2. If you have DDR2, more DDR2 would be best.
Secondly, different pin size usually means they are of different pysical size.
Thirdly, what PC/DDR/DDR2 type can your PC take? The sites list PC-3200 and PC6400, two entirely different types.
So, yeah, you are making yourself look like some sort of noobish Newry nyuck!

looks good Abe, plenty of options there, going with DDR2 RAM only and nothing lower than PC5300 (DDR2-667), here's the cheapest one I'd buy for that board from Crucial:

Alternatively, the PC6400 options, DDR2-800, would probably be a more ideal partner for your board, but there's a good chunk more monies involved:

Anyone else have suggestions?
