Title: Recommend me a decent affordable netbook!?

Ahoy lads,

Want to get a netbook for the missus, any suggestions?  Looking at teh Samsung NC10, but I'm thinking it might be getting a bit dated...what with that nvidia Ion thing around the corner.  I don't want to either end up with a platform that's way behind the norm (in a couple of months time) or pay way over the odds for same.

What do ye reckon would be a good buy?

well, yea, want something portable and small enough to disappear when not in use.  Although, if you've something else in mind, lets hear it  :)

Well the new Inspirons are pretty nice.  The girls have XPS 1530's, same case etc as the standard models.  They are not that heavy and really nice to use, built in webcam etc.  Have a look at one of those maybe?  Also check out the Dell Outlet for bargains.

yea if you find anylinks post them up am looking for a lappy for uni also.

Dell XPS M1330  looks nice and small pitty about the price :(

All nice lil machines there, especially like that Acer Aspire 6530G, lots for your monies there.

I forgot to mention the budget, can't spend more than 300 sterlings atm, so limited that way.

Nice, got the NC10 in the end, seems a similar spec to that one...
