i think i know the store your on about its gay and expensive.
if your going to buy any computer hardware i would suggest buying it online from a company in ireland or england you'll get it cheaper almost every single time.
cd's/dvds are ok to get in shops there cheap enough now except in pc world were they rip you off in every thing

Amazon.co.uk does most computer stuff like networking, graphics card, memory etc and they are fast and reliable. And they open up a distribution centre in Glasgow soon too    8)

Are you mad, I have an X800XL and it's great. At the moment I run my settings on medium but I ut my anti-aliasing up to x6 so it's nice and smooth and it looks fantastic. I have 2 gigs of ram though, you're better off getting some more ram that a new card I would say. I haven't even tried it on high settings because it looks so good anyway and performance is good, could easily if I wanted too though.

Are you mad indeed?
I run BF2 with an x800xl, all high settings cept for lighting, dynamic shadows and dynamic ligting which are set to medium.
1280X1024 4XFSAA and get between 40-90 fps,never dropping below 40 fps.
For FSAA use the new ATI cards cannot be beaten and tbh BF2 needs some FSAA.
P4 2.8ghz 800FSB,1gig DDR 400mhz,X800XL.nothing overclocked,default speeds.

I get really good frames, usually 70 + I even got 105 the other day  . By the way you don't need 2 gig to run the game, I only wanted another 512MB to make it 1.5 but my motherboard won't accept the ram if only 3 of the slots are used up
