Brand New Build
«
on:
September 22, 2015, 01:09:28 PM »
Hi Guys, I am looking to spend about ?1000 - ?1500 on a new build as a cheeky Christmas present for myself.
Where do I start in the planning process of acquiring a new build and how hard is it to actually build a good system?
Thanks

Just avoid hardwareversand.de unless you're paying by Paypal, as they have started being liquidated.

wow that rig looks awesome. Nice work Rob.
Would you be free some night soon to go through the items individually? Just to see what I'm getting out of each item etc as I'm putting quite a bit of money into this and I've never built a computer before.
How do you transfer your windows over, is it a simple job? PS I've got Win 7 64 bit, and its asking me to upgrade to Win 10, should i upgrade?
Thanks for all the input guys.

Went ahead with the purchase. Getting Overclockers to have it plug&play for me. Due it two weeks yesterday.
only thing i changed was the dvd player to be blu ray also.
Added the following from other sources:
Astro A50 wireless headset
Got a great monitor and Corsair M65 Mouse for birthdayt/xmas present
I decided to get a cheap keyboard and use the money saved to invest in the A50s. found a decent one on amazon for ~?20
Thanks Rob!
So, what games are TiG playing these days that I should invest in with this new demon?

Dislike anyone having a graphics card pre-installed form the warehouse, as you really depend on the courier knowing how to handle delicate packaging, but best of luck anyhoos.
