Joining the clan, new name, start awards all over again?

I hope to join the clan in a week or so
but I'm just wondering about 1 thing.

According to the rules, you have to change
your name twice when joining the clan.

1 you training name
2 the name with the TiG prefix

But if I do that wont I have to start all over
again in terms of getting awards, medals, unlocking
weapons etc?

Hopefully they will be patching that soon as they fucked up the gamespy setup inside bf2/

I guess you had better hope that it get's fixed before you join up next week.

It is included in the first patch but I don't know when its due.

In the long term it won't matter if you change your name a few times.  The better you get at the game the quicker you'll be able to fly up the lower ranks.

they have a few things that have to be fixed soon i got tkd about 4 times the other night because of that srupid name colour thing

Nice that you can now add a prefix to your name in BF2, so you can add clan tag before your existing nick. I'm using [IRL] until I find a home for meself in some nice friendly clan!

Shame though, that the red tag bug is still there.

Ahh, I spotted [IRL]harrier_hunt on a UK server last night. If I remember correctly he was even in my squad.

Might have been. I certainly think the game is much more enjoyable with people you know, hence me wanting to join a clan.
