56K modem

would anyone have a spare 56K modem that they don't use anymore?

My brother wants to set up his comp so that he can make calls through his headset using a program like 'phone dialer'.

He doesnt have a 56K modem cos we're on BBand.

Anyways, if theres a spare one going and you dont mind parting with it i'd really appreciate it, cheers

Would he not be safer to set up a VOIP service, something like Skype etc?

I tried downloading and installing skype but it wants my details and will give me a seperate bill for calls made on the comp.

If i get a modem i'll be able to use a house phone emulator and get billed as if it was a regular call made through a regular phone.

Surely it would be alot easier to use a headset direct to the phone line.. bluetooth or what not, 56k would be pointless when your forking out for BB.
