ARMA3 Modding / Scripting

Anyone interested in having a go at scripting some missions / mods in Arma3? 

The basic syntax isnt that hard to get used too, but initially we would need some ideas.

Thinking Wasteland Kavalla maybe to start with?

A gauntlet type mission!!
start at one end of the map and go along a fixed root taking on harder groups of enemies in each town

Yep could be done, thinking that we start in a chopper, the chopper drops players off at first village, you have to clear it.  Then chopper picks you up and fly to next and so on...

We could start with this!!

Say we spawn in (or chopper) at a village on the coast with just pistols and a few enemy players to kill.
Then roundup gear there from the enemy and take a car or to on to the next town that has more and
better equipped enemy building up our gear and the enemy force's in each town as we go on. So
we start off with pistols and end it off in Mobile Artillery Attack choppers and tanks. But keep supplies
for these things to the bare minimum so we have to work out how best to use them

Yep sounds good.  Will have a look at the map tonight and start to think about a route.  Theres loads of nice scripts already available so its just a matter of bringing these together with what you want to do.

There's a small airstrip at the top right hand corner of the map, then
at the town just below it there's a main road all the way south to
the capital. Few towns and military camps along the route. You
could also set up a timer and have it as a race against the clock
or time trial, something like that.
And yes I'v been toying with this for a while now, No idea of a
good name yet. But thats the basic Mission right there, and no need
for any extra files or mods, can be all done somthing like wasteland I think

Yep can be done without mod files, just a mission pbo.  Anyone else interested in helping out?

I'm just getting used to the A3 editor, have been doing basic missions where a few mates and I have to take three or four towns with respawn on other players and ammo box etc. Haven't really looked at the scripting much though. Have a basic guide, just haven't gotten to it yet.
Do ye play A3 a lot? I'll jump on TS and say hello when I get the chance. Happy to help if I'd be of any use to ye.
