ARMA III
« on: September 01, 2014, 07:52:38 PM »
I've been having some great games of ARMA III recently, for example I took a submarine and surrounded an enemy Island base got a few kills and then destroyed their spawn beacon. I Held the island for some time but ultimately I was fortunate to have held it for so long. Soon after they regrouped and attacked me with choppers and boats. There was only one winner then, anyways with a few TiG members we could have taken their base for good, All I needed was a spawn beacon and a few TiG members for support. I think all the DayZ SA guys should really give this game a bash as it has an awful lot to offer.

Was hoping to jump back into standalone but being so busy, i'm having huge  cravings.
Arma3 is on my wishlist and from watching vids and new mods coming out for it tis looks a beast of a game..

Remember we played ARMA II mods? Well this is much better, just teamed up with 2 guys to do a mission and we came across a heli hovering a few feet off the ground, went over to investigate and there was no one in it, disconnected maybe. So we just jumped in and took it, when we got close to another mission we jumped out and locked it, silly mistake as we could not open it again. Just got disconnected there, while in a fire fight with my two comrades, come on soon and we have a game!

will give it another go later.  I thought the default controls were much the last time I gave it a go.

Very similar to DayZ Eric, the Character interface is a bit tricky but you get use to it.

Interesting mod, made better by only allowing first person.

Either of the .pho files depending on the map you want.  I'd say the files are up there already though.

Server going great, persistence working fine thanks to Robs hard work.  Have raised a ticket about the server crashing due to CPU usage.  We can update to 50 man with the money we have in the kitty?  What do you think, I think 50 man might bring more players in.

Also we can easily go into the mission file and tweak, we can go though the changes we can make some night.
