In my day we had to physically lug our computers (uphill both ways in the snow) and run coax cables with 50 ohm terminators and T-connectors. And when one guy in the middle of the ring deciided it was time to go home and took his cable with him we had to move everyone around! And shit if I didnt turn hairs grey looking for a faulty connection that would innivetably popup in the last place you looked taking down your whole lan (local area network).

AND WE WERE DAMNED THANKFULL FOR IT TOO.

Now youve got your high speed internetthingy with your routers and asynchronous servers. Making wan (wide area network) gaming possible.

Whats a lan!?!? Whats a lan?!

okkkk, not quite the answer but very interesting, i meant one of the lads said there was a lan at the end of the month if i would like to go, go were for wat, thats wat i was wondering, my mistake, oh yea how do i apply for a trial to get into the clan as a full member or wat do i do from here

There is no trial Mark, just keep playing with us and at some point pretty soon here we will talk about it amongst ourselves. I personally think youd make a good addition, so dont lose any sleep.

Dont mind my crazy answer, a lan is a bunch of gamers bringing there PCs to the same physical location for games, file sharing (porn), and the like.
