Clan stacking

Lads, is there anything that can be done about clan stacking?  As you can see in the shot above, practically the entire Chinese team was made up of two clans.  Isn't the passworded server meant to be so that people can have fun away from this shit?  I dont mean to whinge, but the likes of the above just annoys people and drives them away.  I've always enjoyed playing on TiG and it was my main server while playing the demo.  This sort of stuff would put me off joining again tbh.  Can ye please get admins on or try and do something about this stuff?  When these lads were asked about the stack they replied "it's fun" when obviously it's not for the opposition

Sorry for the rant but it ruined an evening of BF2 for me and a lot of others tbh.

Yeah some clans are sticking together on servers, cant blame them tbh.  Here the sides are 15 v 16.   Cant really get more even than that.

Couldn't disagree more tbh.  There are two issues when talking about evening of teams:  numbers and balance.  The numbers are even, yes.  But the balance is very much fubared.  You could get more even by spreading the two clans out over the two sides.  Clan stacking is ruining so many games and servers these days - I'd hate to see it ruin TiG.

Half the time i've been on pheonix have been team stacking to no end. At one stage it was 8 of them against 4 of us, and considering they will be on comm's aswell, its extremely unfair.

Well, we would need a moderator on our servers all of the time, and this would just be impossible tbh. Besides, even the clans are learning this game atm.

In an ideal world it would be nice to always have even teams in terms of skill and teamwork but this is much easier said than done.  If it were a simple matter to switch entire squads of players to the other team I might be in favour of doing it to achieve a balance, but as things stand this just isn't possible.

It's quite difficult for a large group of players to voluntarily switch teams as it's very hard work getting others to swap sides to balance numbers.  To my knowledge there is no server admin tool available yet that can help with this.  Splitting up clans is not a realistic option; at the end of the day clans run public servers so that they can play together and against each other in groups.  If people would prefer not to play against organised groups then perhaps a clan server is not right for them.

Please, if you're going to highlight a problem, try to present a solution also.

Time is short and games of BF2 aren't going to just play themselves...

I agree tbh something should be done its total bollox playing a public game against a large number of clan member's on the same team it fuck's the game up for every one else on the other team. As for a fix id be in favour of a banning for those that clan stack tbh .

banning is a bit harsh why not get them to split up and if they don't kick them if they do it again kick them again

Exactly, and if after two kicks they still do it, then ban em ;)

As for solutions, there may not be any admin mods out there but there's always rcon.  Give that to trusted members and let them admin the server.

It may be a clan server, but it's no fun for random joe-public who wanders on for a game if the teams are that badly evened.

Got to agree with titanfire here lads, but tbh i like killing them stacking clans :)
Check out rcon as he says.
A more annoying issue is imo teamkilling with no apology.
Everyone teamkills by accident, this is acceptable but even worse is when the teamkiller doesnt apologise and is wearing a TiG tag.
Just this evening a TiG member teamkilled me with no apology only to do the same twice more without any further apology.
Needless to say i didnt forgive the 2nd and 3rd times :(
Not good enough tbh on a respected clan server by a hosting clan member.
No need to for me name in public,i can only hope he was getting the red/blue player names bug that i saw in the demo.
Has this been found in the full game ?

Disappointed to hear a TiG member would be TK-ing on purpose.

We'll have Karma put him over his knee for a good paddlin'.
