Title: Server probs
Post by: Big Nelly on June 21, 2005, 12:15:00 PM
Hi Guys

Have been on your server since the demo was released....wonder if any of you are having this problem......ok logged onto server at 3.30 yesterday and was playing a good game(a few of TIG where on) and the round ended then when I tried to join in the next game got a connection error message......so I tried to connect again and it said I couldnt connect and check my network....said ok and rebooted....tried again and same error.....tried Darkkeep then and working.....so tried 4-5 times more to TIG and nothing so stayed on Darkkeep for rest of night

Now this has happened at differnet times over the last few weeeks....can happen in middle of games as well.....4-5 guys jumped onto Darkkeep soon after me and they all where having similiar problems althou a few couldnt get on because it was full at that stage......

any idea's????  :D

Strange one, I havent encountered any problems like that.  We did lock the server last night for a while.  It can also fill up very quickly.

Give some of us a shout on IRC or Public TS the next time it happens.

Yeah one of the guys came on about 8-9....cant remember exactly because was playing so long....and said it was locked then......my probs started at around 7(cant be exact again)......

I thought it was funny because never have any probs connecting first time and usually get a good 1-2 hrs play before it happens if it even happens.....will ask an1m4l because he mentioned something strange happened to him as well and he got kicked off same time as me last nite!

Will be around later so I will check if any probs!!

Don't know if this will help , but a few times over the last couple of days , when the game ends instead of "join game" I get "disconnected from server" but have always been able to get back in straight away .

No I get an error like "there has been a problem with your connection, please check your network setting" but network is flying, also last nite after about 5-10 trys it would start loading up but once you go to the screen where you pick your spawn after 5-6 secs I would get an error "There is a problem with your connection" then after 10 secs would dump back to the main screen where the other error pops up again.....will put a screen shot up tonite if it happens.....maybe its just my prob but posted in case its a BF2 problem :D

Seemed to start having the same problem on both TIG servers yesterday.....exact same error as on the demo.....could connect to NRG servers....and most other servers after the usual 10-30secs delay when trying to do anything in the useless browser......

Any ideas what could be causing this problem?

I get a connection errors straight away when I double click a tig server.  And lots of lag/connection problems in-game.

Might just reboot the whole thing and see how we do.

(It's been up supporting 64-112 slots non-stop since release)

Well I could get to pick my spawn point on the password server but most of the times on the other server said IP address didnt exist....

Maybe an idea but was on a few UK server yesterday and most of them had a warnign saying the server would auto reboot at 3am(or watever tim) each day....could be an idea to try and solve these problems....not sure what is involved thou?
