Upgrading your motherboard to make a faster machine usually means changing your CPU and RAM as well.  What do you want the new board to do that the old one doesn't?

oh noes!  :P

Well i think your best buying a motherboard+cpu+fan kit.
normally about ?150 and everything is always compatible

Check out these Bundles.

Something like that will suit you great mate.

Cant you check the motherboard you have and see what socket it is jack?

its probably 478 socket.

one of these,

You might want to upgrade your graphics card while your at it m8.Battlefield 2 looks mighty pretty.

Jack--Just reading through the cpu support list for that motherboard and it says it can take up to a 3.06 HT cpu.

http://www.giga-byte.com/Motherboard/Support/CPUSupportList/CPUSupportList_GA-8SIMLH-P%20(Rev%204.0).htm

As for ram--if it can take that CPU Im sure a gig of ram and maybe more is a definate yes.Although the motherboard may report only 512 mb ram Windows will give the correct amount.Id say stick in the 1gb see if it works,if not update the bios and you should be fine.

I agree with Richie, your cpu at the mo is a P4, so I would put good money on it that it can support at least a gig m8.

Even it it still dosen't work, your still a cunt.
